"I want to continue acting in Bollywood and will start shooting for 'Purani Jeans' soon," said Monteiro, who walked on the ramp in Delhi for the first time on the second day of the Wills India Fashion Week.The 19-year-old model, who walked twice in the day for designers Kavita Bhartia and Ranna Gill, was more than happy to be the part of a fashion show in India.Music Masti "This is my first ramp walk at WIFW and I am glad to be working with new designers and new collections," said Monteiro.Talking about the difference between modelling in India and abroad, she said, "India is a different market altogether and the designs here are so colourful. I am happy to have been accepted in the fashion circuit here."Gill, who showcased her 'I am Every Woman' spring summer 2010 collection at the WIFW, said that she likes Monteiro so much that she asked her to be the showstopper for her."I loved Giselle so much in the film that I asked her to be the showstopper for my show and she said 'yes'," said Gill.

(IANS) Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, who strutted down the ramp for her friend Manish Malhotra’s bridal collection at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week here with her boyfriend Saif Ali Khan, says it was a very special show for her.
“I have walked the ramp so many times in the past for my friend Manish, but this was different and very special because for the first time I was walking with Saif. It’s always a special feeling to be with him,” Kareena told IANS after the show. bollywood News
Added Saif: “Yeah, it was a lot of fun. We had fun during rehearsals as well.”
While sashaying down the ramp Kareena kept looking at the audiences smilingly while Saif managed to keep a poker face.
The front row was occupied by an array of Bollywood celebrities who had to squeeze in to get a place in the jam-packed show area. Music Masti
Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, Kajol, Imran Khan, Dino Morea, Uday Chopra, Sophie Chaudhary, and Boney Kapoor and Sridevi who came with their daughters, added to the glamour quotient.
The collection was called “Destination Wedding” and the set decorated with white drapes falling from the rooftop looked like a dream sequence of a Bollywood movie.
The background music had chartbusters from Hindi films like “Emotional Atayachaar”, “Twist”, “Chor Bazzari” among others.
The line had an interesting combination of colours like peach, ivory and beige. With minimalist embroidery and a lot of bling, Malhotra’s collection was stylish and at the same time sexy as well.
“These days many people in India are having their wedding out of their country. Last month I designed for a wedding in Portugal. I want people to know what colours and silhouettes should be worn at such weddings,” said Malhotra.

For Salman’s show, Preity was the cheerleader

Dressed in a “Being Human” sleeveless T-shirt and sporting a new look with fringes falling perfectly on her forehead, the actress looked as ravishing as ever. bollywood News
Sitting with her friend choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan and fashion designer Manish Malhotra, the actress started shouting from the very first moment when Salman Khan started the show and sashayed down the ramp.
Music Masti “Wow! Salman! Salman!,” shouted Zinta and continued clapping till he left the ramp. It was not just for Salman, she also cheered for other celebrities like Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan with equal enthusiasm.
Farah Khan and Manish Malhotra joined her and together left no stone unturned to pep up the atmosphere.
“I must tell you that my throat is already gone. I was so happy that all this shouting and cheering just happened. The show was all about being human and being together. It celebrated togetherness of the industry and this is what had me do all the shouting. But it is worth it,” Preity told IANS after the show.
Commenting on Aamir Khan’s ramp debut, she said that the actor looked cute.
“I think he was looking very cute on the ramp. He is already so charming and you can’t take that away from him,” she said.
